Music is an art relating to voice or instrument. In Astrology, voice of the native is judged from the 3^rd house and its lord of the natal chart and of the 3^rd sign of the Zodiac viz. Gemini and its lord Mercury. The 3^rd house also signifies the hands of the native which are used in instrumental music. The characteristics of the 3^rd house and its lord signify the nature of the music the native is interested in. The planets involved for musical efficiency are Sun. Moon, Venus and Mercury. He is recognized mostly as the singer of Tagore’s songs. But he had also many popular Bengali songs and earned his recognition and fame after middle-age.  

Analysis: -

The native was born under Saggitarius rising, the Ascendant being aspected by the 8^th lord Moon posted in the 7^th house in Gemini which is the 3^rd sign of the Zodiac. The Ascendant/4^th lord Jupiter combined with Herschel signifying some speciality is posted in the 4^th house in Pisces in an angular relation with the Moon.
