Astrological factors for suicide

In suicidal cases, death is invited by the self and therefore a relation of the Ascendant and/or its lord, 8th house and/or its lord and 3rd house and/or its lord should exist because the 3rd house signifies self-effort in any matter. At the time of suicide, the native loses all rational senses and is moved by strong emotion and/or depression. Therefore, in such a natal chart, Mercury, the significator of rationality should be weak or afflicted by malefics and so also the Moon, the significator of emotion together with the 4th and the 5th houses and/or their lords. In case of depression, Saturn will play the key role while for unbalanced emotion Rahu will play the same. The exact mode of suicide will be decided by the nature of the signs and planets involved. These principles are reflected in the following cases: -

Case 1:

Case Study: -
The chart relates to a girl who had a peculiar disease of vomiting frequently and underwent an operation in the Stomach region without any result. Later it was diagnosed to be a neurological problem and was cured with Gomedak and pearl. But she later committed suicide with fire.

Analysis: -
The girl was born under Saggitarius rising with the Ascendant being occupied by the lord Jupiter itself in the constellation of Ketu posted in the 8th house and aspected by Rahu posted in the primary maraka i.e. 2nd house combined with the 8th lord Moon in Capricorn. The 8th house is occupied by strong malefic for the Ascendant i.e. Venus combined with Ketu and aspected by 2nd/3rd lord Saturn posted in the 6th house and also by the 8th lord Moon combined with the strong malefic Rahu and posted in the 2nd house. The 3rd house is aspected by malefic Mars and the 3rd lord Saturn while the 12th house is occupied by the planet of mystery Neptune and aspected by the 5th/12th lord Mars posted in the 9th house and also by 2nd/3rd lord Saturn posted in the 6th house. These combinations indicate that the girl was suffering from tremendous mental despair and uncertainty signified by the combination of Moon and Rahu due to some romantic affairs signified by Venus combined with Ketu indicating secrecy and posted in the 8th house in Cancer also signifying death, secrecy, unbalanced emotion etc. The 8th house being afflicted by 3rd lord Saturn, the native invited her death on her own that is she committed suicide and this happened in the sub-period of Moon in the major period of Rahu.

Case Study: -
The girl was a victim of Poliomyelitis for which she could not continue her school education. She was unmarried and for family unhappiness she committed suicide by setting fire on herself.

Analysis: -
The girl was born under Aries rising with the Ascendant/8th lord Mars combined with 5th lord Sun, 4th lord Moon signifying mind and domestic happiness, 3rd/6th lord Mercury signifying reasoning power and 9th/12th lord Jupiter signifying good senses posted in the 8th house in Scorpio. The strong maraka Venus being the 2nd/7th lord is debilated in the 6th house combined with Rahu in the constellation of the Ascendant/8th lord Mars and aspected by Saturn. The 2nd house is aspected by the combination of Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Moon as also by Rahu. Thus, the 8th house which is also the 8th sign of the Zodiac i.e. Scorpio being strongly afflicted by the Ascendant/8th lord, 3rd lord, 4th lord, 5th and 9th lord, the girl committed suicide in the sub-phase of Mars in the major phase of Venus by setting fire on herself. The combination in the 8th house also indicates her being attacked with Poliomyelitis and her family unhappiness due to her mother.
